If anything good comes out of this story, it's that the driving student who witnessed this accident has learn a valuable lesson in what not to do.

At around 6PM Thursday night an accident occurred when a middle-aged woman driving a minivan crashed into the Checkers in East Moline. 15-year-old Bren Lawrenz was on the scene while on break from Skiles Driving School and capture the incident on the video below.

The woman claims that she accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes at first. Then when she tried to stop her van, the brakes apparently did not work. She ended up striking the east entrance of the restaurant, a main support beam and a nearby light pole.

Police arrested the woman and charged her with a DUI.
