The NBA isn't really as rough as it was back in Charles Oakley's day. Apparently, he tried to bring a little of that back last night... from the stands.

The New York Knicks were playing the L.A. Clippers last night in Madison Square Garden, and Charles was in the crowd. Several minutes into the game, he was involved in an altercation.

There's video of him shoving several security guards and he was hauled out of the arena, where he was arrested. He'll be charged with three counts of assault.

Some reports say Oakley was trying to get to Knicks owner James Dolan. Recently, Charles talked about wanting a role with the team but he said he's been estranged, and ownership wouldn't take his calls.
