Baby Gives Marine Father a Salute in Sonogram Photo

Mehgan Merriott and Robert Cooper were pleasantly surprised when they went in to get a sonogram of their 12-week old baby only to find that it had its hand raised in a salute.

When they Columbus, Georgia couple started the sonogram, the baby was sleeping. When they tried to wake him/her up, it got frustrated and threw its arm up, like a salute. "I almost cried," Mehgan said. "I thought it was sweet."

The baby's father, Robert, is a former Marine, so it makes the photo all the more sweeter.
