Guy Perry has returned home to afternoons on 97X after a 16 year absence. Guy was a Program Director and an On-Air Personality for 8 years in the Quad Cities, and only on ONE radio station… 97X. The Michigan native (and Michigan State alumnus) has made the Quad Cities his home for 24 years. Married to Debbie, and dad to Jennifer, Guy is also a licensed home inspector. He’s also a sports nut who credits his golf swing to his famous coach Captain Morgan! Kind Of A Funny Story
This one caught my eye today ... On this date back in the late-60's somewhere in the middle of their rise to stardom, The Who were playing a concert at the Fillmore East (NY) and somebody ran up and got on stage and grabbed one of the mic stands...

Happy Anniversary 5150
Today was the day in 1986 that Van Halen's new project with Sammy Hagar taking over as front-man, the album "5150" went to the #1 spot on the U.S. Charts. It only took 32 days to accomplish it. 1984 came close and
would have been #1 had it not been for the bad luck of trying to push "Thriller" out of the top spot...
