Ankeny Teacher Arrested for Allegedly Drinking During School Hours

Jennifer Rich, a 40-year-old kindergarten teacher at East Elementary, was arrested on Friday after a concerned parent notified police and they found a six pack of beer in her classroom.

Police noted she had watery, bloodshot eyes and charged Rich with public intoxication and one count of child endangerment. She resigned from her position on Monday.
