It's only January, and we've already got the winner of the most totally UN-tubular crime of the year.

28-year-old Seth Beckton of Aspen, Colorado was snowboarding Sunday morning, and shared a chairlift with a skier who was in his late 20s or early 30s. They talked a little about the differences between snowboarding and skiing, and Seth made a comment about how to ride through fresh powder. For some reason the skier got really offended.

Here's what Seth said. "To get t*ts deep pow shots you just need to be on your edges." Maybe the guy didn't like the profanity, but that doesn't seem to be it. Basically he thought Seth was laughing at him. And Seth said he kind of was. So the skier said, "Well is THIS funny?" Then pushed Seth off the chair lift.

He fell about 25 feet, but landed in a big pile of snow so he wasn't hurt. Since he was okay, he wasn't going to let it stand in the way of shreddin' some totally gnarly powder, so he snowboarded the whole day before he reported it.

The police are trying to find the guy, but they think it's a long shot. One cop said, "I've been skiing since I was two, and I've never heard of anyone being thrown off a lift."

WARNING! Be on the lookout for a skier chucking snowboarders off chairlifts. Yes, this is real.. Happened to me today...
