If the opening drum beat of Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" meant anything to you as a young rocker, you'll be sad to learn that the master behind that sound passed away yesterday (Friday, March 21).

Anthony Jude "A.J" Pero joined the band in 1981, and his deep tom sound and relentless cowbell paid homage to bands like Uriah Heep, and ushered in a metal sound that many bands emulate today. He died of a Heart Attack while on tour with his current project, Adrenaline Mob, which he sat in with in between TS tours and appearances.
