There's something oddly satisfying about setting something on fire.

What's even more satisfying is setting something on fire that we all use to set things on fire.

The YouTube channel HTD did just that when it lit 6,000 matches and recorded it as they all went up in a charred pile of rubble.

Remarkably, this clip goes on for 14 minutes, a sort of Yule log for wannabe arsonists everywhere. The visual is striking and the sound is strangely comforting, like you're roasting marshmallows on a warm summer night.

Now, why someone would choose to do this is a mystery, but we are grateful because all of the sudden we feel very calm.

Overall, we have to say it's pretty cool, but we gotta admit that by the end it kind of just, you know, flamed out.
