On Monday, a 16-foot-long baby minke whale washed up on a New Hampshire beach. Video was recorded of a forklift trying to fit it in a dumpster.

Somebody screwed up and got a container that was too small and the 4,000-pound carcass bounced off the top and hit the ground.

It's not like they were just tossing it in with the trash though. The plan was to load the whale into a dumpster so that it could be transported somewhere that researchers could do an autopsy.

"That was a mistake that shouldn't have happened and I take full responsibility for that," Police Chief Kevin Walsh said. "Our goal was removing the biohazard right away," Walsh said.
