A 24-year-old Amanda Hall was at a zoo in Wisconsin on Saturday, climbed a fence into the giraffe pen, the a giraffe licked her face and then kicked her in the face. The staff got her out and she was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. But she also got a ticket for $686 for harassment of animals.

She suffered injuries that were not life-threatening from the kick. Zoo staff told police Hall was lucky to not have been more seriously injured, as giraffes are capable of killing lions.

Hall told officers she decided to climb into the exhibit because "she loves giraffes," according to the report by Madison Police Sgt. Paige Valenta.

Hall was cited for harassment of zoo animals, which includes a $686 fine
