Prince George County, Virginia had a historic snowfall recently that closed schools and businesses in the area. But it didn't stop one family from going to work.

Jason Smith and his family and neighbors came together to create a gigantic snowman, something they've been doing for a couple years.

“My intention was to beat the one we built two years ago, which was 18-foot,” Jason said.

Over the course of three days, the Smiths gathered up snow on sleds and in pickup truck beds. As their creation grew taller and taller, they had to construct scaffolding around the base. Their work resulted in a 21-foot tall snowman:
