“Unmasking Brain Injury” Pop-Up Art Exhibit

This week is your last chance to see the “Unmasking Brain Injury” pop-up art exhibit.

The art exhibit will be open to the public through April 6 at Genesis Physical Therapy and Wellness, located at 4017 Devils Glen Road (Suite 100) in Bettendorf, which is open 7am-5pm, Monday-Friday. The event, hosted by the Brain Injury Alliance of Iowa (BIAIA), exhibits a number of masks created by people living with brain injuries throughout Iowa.

"Every mask tells a story, and each one is unique, just like brain injuries,” BIAIA executive director Geoffrey Lauer says. “The idea is to promote awareness of the prevalence of brain injury while giving individuals another way to communicate with others about their experience of living with a brain injury.”
