Usually the only time we take notice of players and umpires talking is when they're arguing over a blown call. This time things were a little different.

Earlier in the game Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo assumed a pitch was ball four, so he started to walk. Umpire Angel Hernandez called it a strike and could have easily gotten mad about Rizzo walking.

Rizzo later started to apologize to Hernandez, who then told him that he understood and that Rizzo was just in the heat of competition. Hernandez then said that Rizzo was “awesome with us.”
