Twice the Population of Kansas City Attended the Royals’ Parade
Kansas City, Missouri was pretty crowded yesterday for the Royals' Victory Parade, to say the least. The population of Kansas City is estimated to be around 470,000 and over 800,000 people packed the streets for the parade.
Royals' left fielder Jonny Gomes gave a pretty awesome speech at the celebration following the parade:

Hey, guess what? Cy Young winner: Not on our team. Beat him. Rookie of the year: Not on our team. We beat him. MVP of the whole league? Sorry, guys, not on our team. But we beat that guy, too!
Ned Yost, the Manager for the Royals, called KC the greatest city, with the best fans and the best team:
Ned Yost: KC is the greatest city, with the best fans and ... the best TEAM. #RoyalCelebration #Crowned #Royals
