Traffic Was Born Today

On this very date in 1967, Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Dave Mason, and Chris Wood started the band Traffic. They were very progressive at the time, using a Mellotron, a Sitar, a Harp, and displaying jazz tendencies in rock music.  But it worked, and it worked well!  Six months later we had their first album, and the first release "Paper Sun".

I wish Dave Mason would have stayed a little longer, but if it would've meant missing out on some of Traffic's best classics... then never mind.  Today I will salute all Traffic fans on the 5:00 Punch-Out with some old-school stuff!  Hope 'ya catch it!
