When you get to work today, tell your boss that you need some more time off. Make sure to let them know it's all in the name of productivity. Studies have shown that having Fridays off every week will make employees better, more productive, and happier.

As far as I'm concerned, this is just common sense.

Jan-Emmanuel De Neve, an economist at the University of Oxford is leading the charge for the three-day weekend.

"I would argue the four-day working week is spot on in terms of finding or striking that right balance between improving the work-life balance and unlocking the happiness potential from that in terms of productivity gains," he said. "This outweighs the net reduction in productivity from working a day less."

Basically, you would get more work done in four days than you do in five. You just have to spend that fifth day doing anything but working.
