You figure if your car gets stolen, the thieves are going to head straight to a chop shop and get a few hundred bucks for it as quickly as possible. You don't expect this.

Josh Shelburne from Albuquerque, New Mexico left his Jeep Wrangler running in his driveway last week, while he ran inside to grab some coffee. In less than 90 seconds, thieves had already stolen it. Josh canvased his neighborhood with posters and photos of his stolen Jeep.

Luckily about 48 hours later, the cops found it. It wasn't stripped for parts. No, it had a much stranger fate.

The thieves pimped Josh's ride. They painted it a sparkly purple color and put a big front bumper on it. Josh says, "It's pretty hilarious. It's just this big purple monster now." He's waiting to get it back from the cops. They haven't made any arrests yet.
