We're all remarkably creative when it comes to figuring out excuses not to go to the gym it's actually quite impressive.

A new study asked people to name all the big reasons they use to skip working out. Here are the top seven:

  1. 63% are afraid they'll hurt themselves.
  2. 53% don't think they look good in workout clothes.
  3. 50% think they'll wear the wrong thing.
  4. 46% say exercising in public gives them anxiety.
  5. 38% are afraid of looking stupid working out in front of other people.
  6. 30% don't know how to use the equipment.
  7.  24% say they're not in good enough shape to be at the gym.
