In 1964, The Night People formed and went on to be inducted into the Iowa Rock 'n' Roll Music Association Hall of Fame this year.  But their claim to fame is opening up for Jimi Hendrix at the Col Ballroom.  I've included a couple videos from that venue below.

This weekend will be The Night People's final show!  Come celebrate the band that's been together for over 50 years and help support the Adler Theatre's marquee renovation project!

From The Rivercenter's Website:

"To commemorate this honor and say "thank you" to the community for their continuous support, the original members, featuring Rob Dahms, Mike Stroehle, Kenny White, Rich Collignon and Gary Pearson, will perform a "Farewell" concert on Saturday, November 25 in the Mississippi Hall at the RiverCenter.  Proceeds from this performance will support the Adler Theatre’s marquee renovation project. The RiverCenter was the site of the very first reunion on November 23, 1984.

Although the band continues to play in the area, it’s rare for all the original members to get together.  This is the last time fans will be able to see all of the original members together on stage. The concert will be a showcase of music that influenced the group, from the early rock and roll era, the Beatles and British Invasion, and the modern era.  The band will also be joined on stage by some very special guests."

Tickets are on sale at the Adler Theatre Box Office (136 E. 3rd St.), online at Ticketmaster.com and by phone at 800-745-3000. General admission tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.  VIP tickets are $27.
