The New Nominees For the National Toy Hall of Fame
The National Toy Hall of Fame in Rochester, New York just announced the 12 nominees for this year's class.
As usual, it's a weird mix of stuff that's really specific and too modern to be a classic or so obvious and old-fashioned that it seems like it should be a category.

- The nominees are:
- American Girl dolls
- Battleship
- Super Soaker water guns
- Jenga
- Playmobil figures
- Wiffle ball
- Twister
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
- The spinning top
- Coloring books
- The scooter
- Puppets. No specific kind, just "puppets." I mean, obviously, right?
Two of those will get voted in by a panel of toy experts, inventors, and historians. They'll be inducted on November 5th. Last year there were three inductees green Army men, the Rubik's Cube, and bubbles.
