The World Series started last night with Game 1 of the New York Mets versus the Kansas City Royals. The game was delayed in the fourth inning after Fox Sports experienced a “technical issue,” leaving U.S. viewers unable to watch.

Fox called it "a rare electronics failure caused both the primary and backup generators inside the FOX Sports production compound to lose power.” You can see their crews scrambling to get the feed back up and running:

The outage lasted for about seven minutes. The broadcast returned in the 5th inning with the Mets leading 2-1.
