If you spend more than fifty bucks on Thanksgiving dinner this year, you are a sucker. The American Farm Bureau Federation just released their annual breakdown.

This is the 33rd year they've broke down how much it should cost to serve Thanksgiving dinner. For serving 10 people in 2018, it will cost $48.90, just less than $5 per person.

That's based on a menu of:

  • Turkey
  • Stuffing
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Rolls with butter
  • Peas
  • Cranberries
  • Veggie tray
  • Pumpkin pie with whipped cream
  • Milk
  • Coffee

The overall cost is down 22 cents from last year, that's thanks to turkey being at slightly lower prices. The study also added optional foods this year. If you mix in ham, russet potatoes, and green beans, expect to add $12.82 to the cost.
