John Cisna is a 56-year-old science teacher in Colo, Iowa who ate nothing but burgers and fries to go from 280 pounds to 220 in just 180 days as part of a classroom experiment.

"In all those (previous) years, my nickname with my buddies was 'Snack Bar’. You know what they call me now? 'Snack Bar Jr,'"

Cisna asked his students to plan his daily menus, with the condition that he could not eat more than 2,000 calories a day and had to stay within the FDA's recommended daily allowances for fat, sugar, protein, carbohydrates and other nutrients.

A local McDonald's franchisee agreed to provide the meals and Cisna’s students came up with 56 different meal combinations—but always included a small order of fries with every evening meal.
