The Quad City Mallards will be ceasing operations after Saturday night's game. But it seems that management at the TaxSlayer Center is optimistic that hockey will continue in Moline.

We spoke with Scott Mullen, executive director at the TaxSlayer Center, this morning on the Dwyer & Michaels Morning Show about the future of the Mallards. He told us that the team has three or four ownership groups in a bidding war.

It's time for the Quad Cities to show these groups that we really passionate fans of hockey. Mallards fans will have a chance to help close a deal when they put down a deposit on season tickets for next year.

Why put money towards tickets for a season that might not happen? Because it will show these potential owners that Quad Citizens are loyal to their team. All it takes is $25 and it's 100% refundable.

Stop by the TaxSlayer Box Office to put your money down and leave your contact information. When, not if, hockey comes back you'll be in line for season tickets.
