Suspicious Package Outside of Cedar Rapids Daycare was Box of Sex Toys

Last week Cedar Rapids Day School was put on lockdown after a pedestrian called police to report a suspicious package on a bench in front of the building.

Fire and police personnel in Cedar Rapids arrived on scene with the Special Response Team, a K-9 unit and a bomb detecting robot. The package was removed from the area about 90 minutes after the pedestrian called 911.

It turns out that suspicious package was just a box of adult toys. Public safety spokesman Greg Buelow says the caller did the right thing in reporting the package and the sex toys have been disposed of.
