A man in Michigan learned a valuable lesson in the hoarding habits of the squirrels in his neighborhood when he popped the hood of his car.

Kellen Moore of Gaylord discovered that the bushy-tailed rodents had stuffed more than fifty pounds of pine cones inside the engine compartment of his vehicle. Every bit of free space was filled up with the cones.

Between two people they were able to rid the engine of the pine cones in about 45 minutes. Luckily the car runs fine after they cleaned it up.

If you live in an area with a large population of squirrels, you may want to check under your hood every once and a while.
