I couldn't imagine this beer any darker. It's flavor has a hint of malt, caramel, coffee, and wheat. Blended together so none really overpowers. It's a darker beer, but not a stout, and not bitter. I had to look up 'dunkel' to know it meant 'dark' in German--that's why I took 2 points off.
