Seal Spotted on Hawaiian Beach Brandishing Knife

Officials with the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources released this video to show the dangers of man-made waste entering the environment.

A monk seal pup named Manu’iwa was spotted on a beach brandishing an orange-handled knife in its mouth.

“There was real concern that the seal pup might swallow the knife," they said. "It’s a reminder to all of us to properly dispose of our trash and not to leave it on Hawai‘i’s beaches or in the ocean.”
