School Board Reminds Students That 4/20 is Not a Holiday
The Vancouver School Board wants to educate parents and students with 4/20 letters and reminds them that it is not a holiday regardless of any events planned.
Nancy Brennan, the associate superintendent said, "We just want to make sure parents and students are as well-informed as possible."
The school board sent out notices that made their stance on 4/20 very clear. They do not condone students participating in 4/20 events and will be taking attendance as normal. Schools have reported that students use 4/20 and related events as excuses not to show up to school.
