Sacramento Woman Sues Chipotle for $2.2 Billion
Leah Caldwell has filed a $2.2 billion lawsuit against Chipotle Mexican Grill, she claims the restaurant chain has been using her picture for promotional material.
The Sacramento woman says that the restaurant chain never got her permission to use a photo of her. Caldwell also says the photo of her was edited to include pictures of alcohol.
She first realized that Chipotle was using the photo from 2014 when she saw it in a restaurant in Orlando. Last year she found the same picture posted in multiple California locations.
Caldwell's lawsuit totals $2,237,633,000 or the sum of Chipotle’s net income for 2006 through 2015.
