Rumble Strips on Route 66 Play “America The Beautiful”

There's a 490-yard stretch of Route 66 in New Mexico that is just a bit more patriotic than the rest of the highway.

When a vehicle rolls over the specially placed rumple strips at 45 MPH, the driver and passengers get to hear "America The Beautiful." The road was outfitted with the musical strips a couple years ago thanks to Nationwide Insurance. In fact, after the song finishes drivers will be treated to the Nationwide jingle.
