Robbers in cartoons always have one thing in common: When they steal money, they throw it into a bag with a big dollar sign on it. We never thought we'd see someone do that in real life.

20-year-old David Eli Lingafelter of Olympia, Washington went into a Subway on Wednesday with a red bandana covering his face and demanded all the cash in the register. The store only had $100 so David took that and an employee's cell phone.

The cops quickly found him hiding behind a dumpster nearby. They found the cash on him, along with the cell phone, a knife, and yes, a canvas bag with a dollar sign printed on it.

It's not clear if David actually put his loot in his dollar sign sack or if maybe he was expecting more cash but didn't bother to use the bag when he only got $100. He was arrested and charged with robbery.
