Riding Jet Skis Down the Mississippi to Benefit Veterans

A group of personal watercraft fanatics will be making the 1,550-mile journey from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Mobile, Alabama to raise money for Disabled American Veterans.

The crew will head down the Mississippi River for more than 800 miles and through 27 locks on just their jet skis.

Rich Bassford from Moline and his son Bailey are a part of that team and Rich is basically a pro at this. Back in 2013 Rich road from Moline to the Gulf of Mexico to raise over $15,000 for Children’s Miracle Network. Bailey has been riding jet skis with his dad since he was only two-years-old.
