Remembering VH1’s Top Rock Songs of the 80’s

Back in 2006, VH1 did a series an the top rock songs of the 80's that aired over the last couple months of the year .. I was bored so I looked at it for about 30 seconds, and thought .."no way can a list that includes Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, and Wham! be a real representation of the best rock songs of that decade ..."   so I decided to make one of my own and see if you agree with any... or most .. or even all of these.  In trying to be fair, my criteria rewarded both strength of song and chart/sales position.  So here goes (sorry Bruce Springsteen...):
