Remembering Muddy Waters

Today is the day we should all remember Muddy Waters, who passed at age 68 in Chicago back in '83.  Whenever you hear Foghat's "I Just Wanna Make Love To You" or Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" or "You Shook Me" remember it was Muddy Waters who did them.  AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long"  was also partially credited to Muddy.

The list of other band and song influences goes on for miles, and includes Eric Clapton, Humble Pie, Jimi Hendrix, and more.  So today take your hat off and remember blues legend Muddy Waters, one of Chicago's favorite non-native sons.
