Bring out the gas masks! The EPA and Iowa Department of Natural Resources is reporting that this morning there are unhealthy concentrations of particulate matter and ozone.

So - What's causing it?

The ongoing wildfires in Canada have been producing smoke that has risen to the upper parts of the atmosphere, but a cold front is now forcing that air to the surface.

Here's the good news: as the day progresses, the air quality will improve in Iowa and Northern Illinois.
