Passengers on a United flight from Chicago to Louisville were asked to volunteer to give up their seats to airline personnel on an overbooked flight.

One man, claiming to be a doctor, refused and was forcefully removed from the plane.

United released the following statement: “Flight 3411 from Chicago to Louisville was overbooked. After our team looked for volunteers, one customer refused to leave the aircraft voluntarily and law enforcement was asked to come to the gate. We apologize for the overbook situation.”
