Cherish these next few days with your kids home from school because things are about to get dark. According to a new study, the average parents only last 13 days into their kids' summer break before they go nuts.

The main reason is you feel a lot of pressure to keep them entertained.

58% of parents feel like they have to figure out activities for the entire summer and 64% have felt like they've let their kid down because they didn't come up with enough good stuff.

The top five things parents do to keep their kids occupied are:

  1. Amusement parks
  2. Movies
  3. The zoo
  4. Bowling
  5. Camping

But in between, the kids are mostly just staring at screens. The study found that kids spend the equivalent of nine entire days during the summer playing video games. That almost sounds low to me.
