A police officer's final sign off is typically a pretty emotional event. Such was the case for Duane Ledoux, but things took a turn when he heard his son's voice come from dispatch.

Officer Ledoux served in the Southbridge Police Department for 32 years and was able to end his career with a final "Code 5," the code officers give to wrap up a scene. Years ago Ledoux had lost his son Nick in an accident and his other son Nate had moved away.

As the officer gave his final code 5 and was addressed by the Chief, Ledoux heard another voice come from his radio to sign him off. The voice belonged to Nate, who had traveled to surprise his dad.
