Not Just Another Chicago Guy With a Birthday

Anybody from the  Franklin Park, Illinois area probably already knows that today is Jonathan Friga's birthday.  Jonathan Cain from the Baby's and Journey that is.

The former accordion player ("Polka, Polka, Polka" ??)  who also attended the Chicago Conservatory of Music, and who replaced Greg Rollie in Journey back in 1981, is still listed as a current member of Journey and still joins them on tour.  Steve Perry probably sends him a thank you card every year for writing their huge song "Faithfully"!   Jonathan is a quiet guy with a preference for a quiet life, and it's fair to say one of the most talented and respected keyboardists of the past 30 years.  Today Journey fans, I salute you... "a guy can't help it."
