Moline Officer ‘Pays it Forward’ and Gives A Truck To Family in Need

He's done it again. Moline police officer, Patrick Moody, has given away another vehicle to a family in need.

You may recall back in September of 2016 when officer Moody gave away a car to a woman who had recently been in an accident which left her vehicle totaled.

This time he gave away a 1999 Dodge Ram. Before giving it away he made sure it has new tires, new exhaust, a full tank of gas and insurance to get them through til the first of the year.

Officer Moody put the call out on Facebook asking for people to nominate someone in need, and one of Courtney Groharing's friends nominated her and said that she and her husband had been without transportation for approximately six months. With two little girls to take care of and both parents having jobs that can be really difficult.

We asked Courtney what the first thing she wants to do and she said, "I want to take my girls somewhere nice."

Hopefully this tradition of paying it forward catches on. It's great to see this kind of generosity in the community.
