MMA Fighter Foils Robbery by Choking Suspect Out with Legs
Two women in Acailandia, Brazil were out Tuesday night when two guys pulled up next to them on a motorcycle and tried to rob them. What the men didn't know is that one of the women was Monique Bastos, a professional MMA fighter.
And when she realized they had knives, not guns, she attacked them. One of the guys ran off like a coward, but the other one wasn't so lucky. Monique took him down, then choked him out using her legs. Then the cops came and arrested him.
Monique says it wasn't a huge deal. Brazil is so lawless, this wasn't even her first time. "I've been through this a few times before, and it's the second time I fought back."
