The Amana Colonies, famous for their Amish population, have a winner of a brewery as well.  This aptly named Iowa Pale Ale is pretty flavorful.

Just the facts:

Bottle temp at opening: 38 degrees.

Drinking temp: 39 degrees

Nose: canvas, or fresh laundry.

Taste: Light hops and barley.

Rating: 3 bottles out of 6

I have been drinking some Pale Ales lately, and have become pretty accustomed to biting hops as the main character.  This one has less of the hoppy front, but a full flavor all the way through.  But it left me wanting a touch more.  The deep golden color made me think I was in for some toasted wheat or barley flavor.  A sweet flavor greeted me instead.  I probably won't remember this beer when I look back at the 50.
