Medicinal Marijuana Coming To Davenport

Today the Iowa Department of Public Health announced it would allow medical marijuana sales in five Iowa communities, and Davenport is on the list. The rest of the dispensaries would be operated in Council Bluffs, Sioux City, Waterloo and the Des Moines suburb of Windsor Heights.

Patients will be able to obtain cannabis oil with a state permit for conditions such as epilepsy and cancer. Medical or recreational use of the drug will remain strictly prohibited.
