Have you ever been so annoyed by something that you felt the need to start a petition? Film fan Mike Shotton has done just that.

The 39-year-old is setting out to ban popcorn from every cinema in the United Kingdom. Shotton first discovered him hatred of the snack food while watching "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" in the early '90s. Recently, the crunching and rustling put him over the edge during the opening night of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens".

"I knew there would be a lot of kids there but I also thought it would be full of true fans wanting to watch the movie in peace. I couldn't believe the amount of noise during the film, it completely ruined it for me."

So far Shotton has only gathered 106 signatures on his petition. Once the petition reaches 10,000 signatures it will get an official response from the Government. Once it hits 100,000, then it must then be debated by MPs in the House of Commons.

Mike plans to campaign outside movie theaters, handing out leaflets encouraging people not to buy popcorn when inside, and encouraging them to support his fight.
