A 911 dispatcher in on the Lower East Side of New York City got a call at about 7:35 A.M. from a man whole was locked inside the Marshall Stack Bar.

Apparently the 20-something spent the night inside the bar since it closed at 4 A.M. He was let out after firefighters responded and freed him.

The man who lives above the bar, 51-year-old Mike Dalton, says that he was surprised. “I’ve lived in the building for 20 years, and it’s mostly locals. This is the kind of thing you’d see from some of the bars down the street, but not here. I can’t imagine where he must have been hiding that they missed him.”
