Man Discovers Engine’s Hissing Noise is Coming From King Cobra

The next time this guy has car problems, he'll have to think twice about whether to call a mechanic or animal control.

55-year-old Thaichai Kongnimit heard a strange noise coming from under the hood of his Nissan. Strangely enough, the hissing sound didn't stop after the car was turned off.

When he popped the hood, Thaichai found himself face-to-face with a 15-foot king cobra. "The cobra could have killed me. I opened the bonnet to look down into the engine and I was about [12 inches] from its face," he said.

He called the local authorities, who responded to the scene with a snake catcher. They carefully removed the snake and released it into the wild.
