Lifelong Friends Find Out They Were Switched at Birth
Leon Swanson and David Tait Jr. are both 41-years-old and have been the best of friends their entire lives. Last week they found out that they were switched at birth.
"What happened here is lives were stolen," Robinson said. "You can't describe it as anything less than that." The two were born only three days apart in early 1975 at the federally ran Norway House Indian Hospital.
DNA tests recently confirmed that the men were raised by each other's biological mother. They've been suspicious for years, friends and family would often comment that they looked more like the other's family.
Last year it was discovered that another set of newborns were switched in the same year. Luke Monias and Norman Barkman were born five months after Swanson and Tate at the same hospital.
