In honor of the Eagles song ″Take It Easy″, a statue of the late Glenn Frey was placed in the Standing On The Corner Park in Winslow, Arizona.

Frey passed away in January and had co-wrote "Take it Easy" with Jackson Browne, who also has a statue in the park. Those familiar with the song will remember the lyric: “Well, I’m standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona, such a fine sight to see. It’s a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed Ford slowin’ down to take a look at me.”

The installation of the $22,000 statue last week helped kick off the annual "Standing On The Corner" music festival. Shops around the park in Winslow have Eagles posters on display and sell all sorts of souvenirs with the song and its lyrics.
