Greetings All!

Our July 31st show aired this morning.  Our guests were Eddie Sanchez with Combat Veterans' Motorcycle Association Chapter 39-3, Jose Cerda with "Thank the SEALs" ride, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Bill Hampton and his wife, Kristen Hampton.  We hope to have the media from today's show available for your listening soon.  In the meantime, here's a re-cap of the show:

Eddie Sanchez is a Veteran with service in both the United States Marine Corps and United States Army.  He let us know about the upcoming "Tribute to Our Fallen" motorcycle run.  The run is this coming Saturday, August 6th.  Registration is not until 8:30 a.m. so don't let the fact the KISS concert is Friday night.  Eddie provided information about the Combat Veterans' Motorcycle Association, CVMA.  Here is a link to their website if you would like more information:

Our second guest was Jose Cerda.  Jose is an Army Veteran who served with both The 1ST Cavalry Division and 2nd Infantry Division.  I met up with Jose on July 16th when he and a group of fellow riders were assembled at the Bettendorf Waterfront Parking lot.  They were there for the start of the "THANK THE SEALs" Motorcycle Ride.  From the website, here is an overview of the ride:

"ThanktheSEALs 2016 motorcycle ride is a ride creating awareness and raising much-needed funds for all of our special operations Personnel transitioning from the battlefield to home. All proceeds going to Your Grateful Nation Foundation set up specifically for this purpose!"

I have a video interview with Jose and three of his fellow riders on our Facebook page, "QC Veterans' Roll Call Radio Show."  (We welcome you to join our Facebook group, please send us a request to join.)

Here is the link if you would like to learn more about this event.  Next year's ride will be here before we know it!

Our third and fourth guests were Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) and Kristen Hampton.  Bill served our nation for over 21 years in the U.S. Army.  Kristen is a former journalist with The Chicago Tribune.  The two met in Iraq when Bill was serving with the 25th Infantry Division and Kristen was an embedded reporter.  Their story is not quite a "war zone love story," yet a love story nonetheless.

Bill also gave some sage advice to our Veterans about the importance of reaching out for help.  He says, "We never did a mission alone."  This is a combat-proven Army officer and Ranger who knows of what he speaks to complete a mission.  Bill has begun a new chapter in his life as a financial adviser with First Command.  (QC Veterans' Roll Call radio show, nor our sponsor, Townsquare Media, endorses any guest's business, commercial or professional endeavor.)
